This is always the most important question that arises for any competition dance journey.  "What is this all going to cost me?"  At OnPointe, we structure our competition fees a little differently than other competition teams.  We understand that this is an investment in your dancer and their passion and we do our best to make sure finances are not a road block to a dancers dreams and goals.

Competition Dance is an experience.  It's not just class time with a recital at the end of the year.  This is a commitment to hard work, pushing to new levels, and being part of a family.  It's a family of dedicated support that grows together sharing laughter & tears, successes & setbacks, and bonds that will last a lifetime. The team typically operates on an 11'ish-month schedule (September to July, some solos may start in August) and we provide various payment options to help.

OnPointe does not disclose our competition fees online and we apologize for that.  We pride ourselves on being a very cost effective option in the Competition Dance arena.  With our fees, you typically get more than other competition studios.  With our family approach to this team and program, we like to have those conversations on a one-on-one basis with parents.  We hope you understand that our dancers and parents become family, not just revenue.  Please do not hesitate to reach our to us to discuss our pricing options.

Dancers can pay initial account costs upfront or we do provide a 10-month payment plan option.  Costs for Nationals and Artist of the Year are typically due by June 1.

We roll all of the administrative costs into one fee.  This fee covers all of the dancers choreography, music, class time, training tools, props, practice wear, facility use, etc.  This allows us the most time with our dancers and unlimited access to instruction and training.

In early August, we host a "Signing Day" event where you would have a consultation with staff on routine selections, cost review, all the fun paperwork, and a deposit on the dancers account.  This deposit allows us to get a jump on costume ordering as some custom costumes can take months to get.

A dancer can choose to be a part of various types of routines.  They can choose from solos, duos, trios, small groups (4-9 dancers), large groups (10-19 dancers, and line/production routines (20+ dancers).  There is a price difference for each type of dance.  We require that all dancers are part of our line/production routine at a minimum.

Each routine fees covers the cost of fees to enter five (5) competitions and a costume budget allowance for that routine.  Any costume exceeding the budget is added to the account once all routines are accounted for.  Sometimes, over multiple routines for the dancer, this balances out depending on the costumes required. 

NOTE:  Nationals and Artist of the Year ARE NOT included in routine fees or team fees.  These are added to the dancers account once routines qualify or nominated, and Studio Director determines routine will compete.  Typically, our goal is for all routines to go to Nationals in July.

OnPointe Productions Competition Team attends one mandatory major convention each year as a team.  This is also open to any studio dancer that would like the additional training and experience. This is typically in January and is a 2-day event in Atlanta.  The purpose for additional exposure to the Nations top choreographers and learning new skills, techniques, and concepts.  This is also a time for team-building as these 2-days are intense classroom work but in a fun environment and dancers learn to support each other.  During the convention, dancers also have the opportunity to win scholarships and internships.  This cost would be added to the dancers account at "Signing Day" or studio dancers acount.
